A Stunning New Look for Iconic Christchurch Venue

Located just seven minutes from Christchurch airport, Peppers Clearwater Resort is an iconic Kiwi resort which is popular with locals and visitors alike. This is due to its combination of beautiful grounds, world class golf course, function and entertainment venues and superior accommodation -both for permanent residents and tourists.
The public area of the resorts includes a restaurant, bar and function rooms, all with stunning views of the grounds and golf course. As well as being a great place to stop after a round of golf or for a dinner out, it’s a firm favourite for conferences and weddings.
When a complete renovation was required, the owners Accor Hotels commissioned Brintons – an international bespoke flooring company – to custom design carpet which would do justice to the building and location. They in turn requested that Floorpride Mandeville Street install the carpet, as its unique design called for a high level of skill in planning, cutting and laying.
There are carpet designs in the new installation – a floral pattern for the main public areas, and a very distinctive sunburst pattern in the large function area, the Kaikanui Room. These areas can be opened up to form one area for functions and large weddings so it was important that the floor coverings, while unique and different, complemented each other.
The finished result is “Absolutely stunning”, according to Floorpride Mandeville Street owner Alastair Murcott. “This has always been a lovely venue, but in the past the flooring was quite plain. It was a bold decision by both designers and owners alike to go with such striking floor coverings, but it is a move that has really paid off as it has totally transformed the entire area.”
