Exciting News: A New Chapter for Floorpride Rangiora
We’re excited to share some big news with our Rangiora community.
From 3 August 2026, Floorpride Rangiora will become part of the Floorpride Mandeville Street family, bringing together two established Floorpride businesses and creating an exciting new chapter for the store.
A New Partnership
Floorpride Mandeville Street 2000 Ltd has purchased the Floorpride Rangiora business, with the official handover taking place on 3 August 2026.
Owned by Alastair Murcott for the past 26 years, Floorpride Mandeville has built a strong reputation for quality flooring, expert installation and exceptional customer service. With a team of 27 full-time staff and extensive experience across residential, commercial, group home and aged care projects, the business brings valuable knowledge and resources to Rangiora.
Meet the Team
Alastair Murcott - Owner
With more than 40 years in the flooring industry, Alastair brings extensive experience across retail, distribution and business ownership. He is a passionate advocate for wool carpet and well respected throughout the industry.
Colin Borland - Manager, Floorpride Rangiora
Colin has been with Floorpride Mandeville for 10 years and specialises in hard and resilient flooring. A proud Rangiora local, he’s looking forward to leading the branch - and enjoying a much shorter commute!
Joanne Caldwell - Accounts Manager
Joanne has been with Floorpride Mandeville for more than 10 years and brings extensive administration and accounts experience to the team.
Scott Greenhalgh - Chief Executive
Scott brings more than 30 years of leadership and people-management experience across retail, sales and national management roles.
What Will Change?
The simple answer is: not much!
The familiar faces you know at Floorpride Rangiora - Odelle, Wally and Michelle - will remain.
We’d also like to thank Mark and Michelle Wotton for their many years of dedicated service. Mark is retiring, while Michelle will remain with the business. We wish Mark all the very best for a well-earned retirement.
We’re also pleased to welcome back Rick Lattimore as Storeperson and Beth Rickerby as Showroom Manager.
Customers can continue to expect the products and service they know and love, with Bremworth carpets once again available in-store.
Looking Ahead
Bringing the two businesses together means greater capacity, stronger supplier relationships and additional resources, while maintaining the personal service our customers value.
Over the coming months, our team will be getting out into the community, meeting customers and clients, and learning how we can best support your flooring needs.
